AP* Economics - Macro and Micro (Combined)

Amy Shrout currently teaches macro and microeconomics at Holy Cross College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Shrout’s career as an educator includes teaching at universities, community colleges, and high schools in Iowa and Wisconsin and serving as a Reader for the AP* exams in economics. Further, Shrout was a Bilingual Researcher at the United States Embassy in Bern, Switzerland. Shrout received her M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her B.A. from Northwestern University.

AP* Economics – Macro and Micro is designed to give teachers the knowledge and skills to help their students understand the principles of economics that apply to the functions of individual decision makers as well as principles that apply to economic systems as a whole. The goal is to help teachers feel comfortable and prepared in their own AP* economics classrooms. Attention is given to setting up the AP* courses in economics and mastering course content that students will need for success on the AP* exams. Every effort is made to meet the needs of all participants.
