The Science Mentor Project is a collaborative initiative of teaching professionals from Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation, Indiana University Purdue University Columbus and Purdue University College of Technology and is supported by the Center for Teaching & Learning. This is a three year project focused on K-6 Science instruction funded from an Indiana Department of Education MSP (Math Science Program) Inquiry-Base Science Grant.

**The Center for Teaching & Learning houses the project kits developed by year #1 science mentors in the Curriculum Resource Lab. These kits are available for approved science mentors on a reservation/check-out basis.**

Science Mentor Project Kits

1. 20 RobLab LEGO kits (software must be provided by your school)
2. 7 Science Mentor Project Curriculum Unit Book Boxes

Reservation Procedure

1. Please reserve the Science Mentor Project Kit that you wish to check-out at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.
2. To reserve a kit: Contact Delora Antle by calling 314-8709 or emailing dantle@columbusctl.com. Provide your name, school, kit you want to reserve and a pick up time and date.
3. The kit may be checked-out at the Information Desk at the front of the CTL/Library.
4. You will need a CTL guest library card to check out the kits. If you do not have one already, please request one at the time you pick up the kit. A valid driver’s license is required to prove your residency.
5. The kits are available for a maximum of one week at a time. However, depending upon availability, kits can be renewed on a weekly basis. Please contact Delora Antle before renewing to check availability.
6. There will be a late fee charged if a kit is not returned or renewed on time.
